ON THE MOVE!

I've moved this blog over to a Wordpress blog hosted alongside my website, so there won't be any more posts here.

Children

I must admit that I thought for a while about publishing these. They were taken in September 1970 at the school my aunt taught at - I showed her some of them last weekend, and I think she said it was in East London. It was over 40 years ago, but she remembered plenty of them - names and what they were like.
I was unsure about showing them as they're not family, but I think they're really good documentary portraits.

Tractor

My God, I remember that tractor - I'm sure it was red, with a yellow steering wheel?

School

The Brother in his first school uniform - Abington Vale Lower School.

King's Road 1970

A definite change in the fashions on King's Road - August 1970.

A fine 'tache, sir!

The Northampton Igloo Building Company

March 1970, and a big enough dump of snow for us to have a decent stab at building an igloo. OK, it's not perfect seeing as there's no slope on the walls, but it's not bad for the East Midlands!

More childhood cuteness

Me at the age of about 12 months

18 months old. Cute aren't I?

Me and The Brother

This is us riding on the miniature train that used to be on some land just next to Delapre Abbey in Northampton.
I'm behind, with Mother, while The Brother is in front with her mother.
Postscript: Good grief, they're still there - Northampton Society of Model Engineers Ltd.
